A raging leap of faith and a rough landing somewhere in between chaos and order, Ephemerides offers “the aural depiction of a place, constructed by way of harnessing the spatial impressions we attach psychologically to each part of the frequency spectrum”. Listeners can expect to be taken on an introspective hike across lands of mental and embodied awareness, lined with richly patterned sonic tapestries that serve as the backdrop for relentless waves of hypnotic incantations. A reverent take on Deep Techno, Ephemerides takes notes from Ambient music for its nuanced probing of time through the observation of gradual change, but it also looks to the world for a model of imbalance and uncertainty. A reflection of the times, on both the personal and societal levels, the sound of the EP reflects the contained derangement of our current socio-political landscape through the roughness of its textures and the cacophony of opposing voices vying for space, framed within the confines of an unyielding, rhythmic bedrock.
